St. Sofia Cathedral Church

Budlong undertook a comprehensive site visit of St. Sofia Cathedral Church, evaluating the existing HVAC system. The team observed a deteriorating split-type DX system, aging cooling tower, and pneumatic control system. Proposing two replacement options, they suggested either a complete overhaul with new compressors, air handler units, cooling tower, and boiler, or the installation of a modern VRF system. Budlong’s scope of work included a feasibility study, outline specs, performance specifications, and analysis of electrical capacity. In subsequent phases, the firm provided & conducted design-build coordination, and offered construction administration services, ensuring the successful upgrade of MEP systems for St. Sofia Cathedral.
