Sunil Patel has over 30 years of experience as a national and international AEC industry leader and holds professional engineering licenses in 10 different states. He is known for executing prominent landmark projects such as LAX Bradley West expansion, LAPD Headquarters, and many more. Sunil Patel is a proven leader with outstanding technical and entrepreneurial skills, who also brings excellent business insights to the company.
Sunil Patel has expertise in Project development, Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, and Civil – and specialized services including Commissioning, LEED Certification, Energy, and BIM/Integrated Project Delivery services.
When Sunil is not working he enjoys hiking, yoga, listening to music and traveling for fun. Additionally, he is passionate about spending time working on charity projects and social impact work.
Felix Gomez, our Director Of Design, oversees all the aspects of development that include design, overall team development and operations. In addition to those duties Felix manages some of the Company’s largest projects, including the $200 million dollar Del Amo Fashion Center renovation. As a leader Felix utilizes his 25 years of electrical design & project management experience to support the Company as it grows in a variety of areas that include project management, planning, client relations, design of electrical power systems, lighting, fire protection, audio/visual, data/communication, equipment selection, and construction administration.
When Felix is not working he enjoys finding his peace of mind outdoors. On his free time you can find him hiking new trails, scuba diving for lobsters, or landscaping. He is also a weekend warrior, providing the same meticulous care and quality towards his home projects as he provide for his clients.
Debbie Ludwig, Budlong’s Director of Finance and Accounting manages all accounting operations and works with the management team on financial controls, planning, strategy, budgets and financial forecasts as well as maintaining the day-to-day operations in our Ventura County office. Debbie is one of Budlong’s longest standing team members, who has worked with Budlong since 1998 and has been responsible for creating & structuring the accounting and finance policies/procedures along the way.
When Debbie is not working, she enjoys being with her family, traveling to for some fun in the sun especially with her grandkids: she hasn’t met a beach she doesn’t love! While at home she has really been enjoying her new home gym and indoor spin cycle.
Rajeev Ghataura, our Director Of Electrical Engineering manages our Electrical design and engineering teams. Rajeev is a valuable asset on the Budlong team by his ability to manage the responsibility of being a key leader in the Company along with being an excellent Designer and Project Manager. Rajeev’s electrical expertise leads the team in areas of lighting and power distribution design to data networking. He’s also knowledgeable in public address systems, TV systems, security systems and other low voltage systems used in new and existing commercial and institutional facilities.
When Rajeev is not working he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching football, basketball and stand-up comedy. He enjoys trying out new recipes, vacationing near the ocean and working on do-it-yourself projects around the house.
William Gonzalez, our Director Of Plumbing & Fire Protection Design manages our Plumbing and Fire Protection teams. He has grown within the Company and provides valuable technical mentorship to his team. He brings to the Company an appreciation for optimization through technological tools and relationship building. William leads his team through Fire Sprinkler Riser Design, Plumbing, Systems Design, Engineering Management, Project Management, Construction Support, Cost Estimation and Fee Estimation. Specializing in water, sewers, gas and storm drain piping design systems.
When William is not working he loves to dance Salsa for fun and travel to national parks. He also participated in disaster relief for Puerto Rico, Saint Thomas, Virgin Gorda and Tortola. He has helped build homes that were destroyed by Hurricane Maria two separate times for three weeks at a time.
Julie Hodges has over 16 years of Human Resources experience. Her diverse experience in global retail, HR technology and non-profit organizations has enabled her to lead teams and support leadership with cultural, employee and organizational development. Her main responsibilities at Budlong are supporting teams with programs, benefits, and coaching to help enhance their professional development and support organizational growth while making it a great place to work!
When Julie is not working, she is watching her kids play baseball & softball or the Dodgers. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening, traveling, snowboarding, volunteering, participating in triathlons and learning new sports whenever she has a free moment.
Jessica Lara, Budlong’s Business Development and Marketing Manager, manages new and existing client relationships while partnering with leadership and project managers to facilitate internal and external strategy. With a professional background that combines communications and business, Jessica brings a broad skill set, research analytics and a creative perspective to the Budlong team. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing & Communications from California State University, Channel Islands.
When Jessica is not working she enjoys hiking/trekking new trails, traveling through Europe, exploring our National Parks and camping. While at home she loves attending to her plant obsession and making her own infused gin.
