LAX Southwest Airlines Terminal 1.5 Development Program – Design Build

The Southwest Airlines Terminal 1.5 Development Program at LAX features an impressive four-story connector between Terminals 1 and 2, enhancing passenger experience with additional ticket counters, baggage carousels, a bus gate, and an extra screening checkpoint. Our IT and low voltage design for this state-of-the-art terminal was exceptional, encompassing sophisticated voice and data cabling infrastructure, expertly planned IT rooms with Main Distribution Frames (MDF), Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF), and Main Points of Entry (MPOE). We optimized communication pathways and installed advanced wireless WiFi systems, ensuring seamless connectivity throughout the terminal.

We also integrated a dynamic Electronic Visual Information Display System (EVIDS), robust signage cabling, and enhanced paging systems for clear announcements. The Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System (ACAMS) and a high-definition Video Management System (VMS) with CCTV cameras provide top-notch security, while our fire detection and alarm systems ensure safety.

Designed to LEED Silver certification and CalGreen Tier 1 standards, Terminal 1.5 also features a vertical circulation core connecting to the future automated people mover, underscoring our commitment to cutting-edge design and sustainability.
