Bradley West at LAX Core & Terminal Expansion

Bradley West at LAX Core & Terminal Expansion

Our engineering team provided exceptional multi-disciplinary services for the 1,500,000-square-foot Bradley West and Core Terminal Expansion project at Los Angeles International Airport. This major upgrade to the Thomas Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) includes new gates designed to handle larger, transoceanic aircraft, reflecting the increasing needs of international carriers. The expansion also involved significant infrastructure enhancements such as relocating and extending taxiways, adding aircraft bridges, updating terminal and overnight parking aprons, and developing a comprehensive utilities master plan.

Our IT and low voltage design was particularly noteworthy, featuring advanced telecommunications systems with state-of-the-art voice and data cabling infrastructure. We meticulously designed IT room buildouts, including Main Distribution Frames (MDF), Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF), and Main Points of Entry (MPOE), alongside optimized communication pathways and robust wireless WiFi coverage. Our work also included sophisticated signage cabling, an Electronic Visual Information Display System (EVIDS), and enhanced paging, access control, and alarm monitoring systems. The Video Management System (VMS) with high-definition CCTV cameras and advanced fire detection and alarm systems further ensured comprehensive safety and security. The terminal’s design, inspired by the Pacific Ocean, features flowing rooflines and cohesive architectural elements, unifying the airport's aesthetic with its functional upgrades.
