Huntington Memorial Hospital

Our team studied the existing hospital and the 1,000,000 sq. ft. 7-story patient tower additions. We provided MEP services for the central plant, which supports both the hospital and the tower. This included adding three steam absorption chillers (8,000 tons), two boilers, and 5.2 MW emergency generators. Additional work involved electric chillers, cooling towers, emergency generators, switchgear, and a main system monitoring/control room. We also conducted a cogeneration feasibility study for a 3.3 MW system. To minimize visual impact, we designed custom, field-erected cooling towers enclosed in concrete panels.
