Cedars Sinai Medical Center
MEP engineering services were provided for a new patient care tower to accommodate 150 intensive care beds. The eight-story tower has five floors above ground and three below. The new tower connects to the existing main hospital building via six new bridges.
Chilled water and steam are connected to the facility’s central plant. New systems for medical gases, domestic water and heating hot water were provided in the design.
In addition to ICU beds, the tower also accommodates rehabilitation services and a transitional care unit.
