Carnegie Art Museum
Although not technically a “historical” building, the museum is a Ventura County Landmark consisting of 2 floors and a mezzanine (approx. 8000sf). Originally no air conditioning (only heat) was provided.
Our Engineers designed a mechanical system to accommodate the building’s historic architecture as well as the requirements of a modern art museum, which include HVAC and humidity control. Two air-cooled chillers serve air-handling units with humidifiers. Hot water is also provided from a boiler. Air distribution was modified to fit into the building without disturbing the existing architecture or art.
