Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation Lower Los Angeles River Trail Enhancement

The Lower Los Angeles River Trail enhancement project, funded by a recent grant secured by Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation, aims to revitalize a 1.3-mile trail segment and improve 72nd Street Park. The project will strengthen the park’s connection to the river corridor and incorporate amenities such as fencing, civic art, and underpass upgrades, reflecting input from diverse community groups. Sustainable methods will be integrated throughout the design process to enhance visibility, access, and recreational opportunities while addressing current issues like unauthorized after-hours use and trail encroachments.
