Budlong provided MEP/FP design for the 50,000 SF, 3-3.5-story new office building that was built on a previously developed site (existing building to be demolished) for Patagonia. The building accommodates Patagonia’s in-house clothing design, clothing mockup, and marketing departments. This building has no private offices – all personnel work in an open office environment, with conference rooms and small flex-space private rooms provided for private meetings and quiet work. This project did not pursue LEED or any other rating system, but considered LEED and Living Building Challenge as its framework for providing the most environmentally responsible project possible without compromising the schedule.
