The City of Downey upgraded the HVAC systems for the Library and Theater. The spaces and equipment included:
- Library: The library is 21,000 square feet. B&A provided design plans to replace the condenser, cooling tower, coils, boiler, and controls.
- Theater: The theater has a capacity for 738 with an orchestra pit, lobby, a stage, a set shop, a rehearsal area, and an office area and green room. B&A provided design for a cassette type split system for the office areas, new CO2 demand control ventilation for the large spaces, replacing the boiler and providing new EMS controls.
